D is for Dartboard .......
A macro shot of a well used dart board.
The red and white sections create a neat pattern, and the many holes give it character.
I am not sure how the numbers along the side work in the point scoring system, but they have their share of holes in them too.
Stumble It!
Digg It!

ReplyDeleteThis is the first DART board I have seen today so your post is very DIFFERENT
ReplyDeleteGreat picture - lousy gasme:
ReplyDeleteyou don't score anything for missing the board or sticking em in the actual numbers!
ReplyDeleteIn another post please make a quick description of how to get points
ReplyDelete:-)
Nice picture of your dart board and the first one I've seen today. I love to play darts but haven't for years.
ReplyDeleteWhat a different and clever D!
ReplyDeleteI agree that the red and white pattern is nice. I'm curious what the wall around the dart board looks like. I'm only allowed to play with the magnetic darts where I can't hurt anyone. :D
ReplyDeleteGreat shot, and original to. happy wednesday kml
ReplyDeletei like the color. and nice angle too!
ReplyDeleteyou're right in saying that the holes gave it character - a blend of rough and smooth, good and bad.
ReplyDeleteTry this page from the World Darts Federation for a description of the game.
ReplyDeleteVery briefly the numbers 1-20 [not consecutively] refer to the segments. A dart landing in the segment scores that number of points. On the outside of the board is a section between two wires. Darts landing in the section score double. There are two other circular wires inside which creates small areas - darts landing therein score treble - in the centre of the board are two small circular areas - the inner (scoring 50) and outer (25) bull.
very nice colours
