Special Awards From Friends

This past week I have received a couple of awards from two blogging friends.

Both of them were given in friendship - with no strings attached. No requirements for posting it, no rules for passing it on, and no pressure to even mention it.

Given just because they appreciate their readers and wanted to tell them so.

I have been visiting The Right Blue for well over a year now, and have enjoyed the adventures and Bobbie and Jerry in their underwater dives and beautiful photography.

The Painted Veil is a new blog that I have recently discovered, and Jackie AKA Shinade has a wonderful heart and an infectious love of life that she conveys in all her posts.

I am most honored to have these bloggers as my friends, and I thank them so very much for these beautiful awards!

Published Work on the 'Net








I joined a syndicated network for blogs back at the beginning of July.

Since joining, I have had several posts published in a couple of major online newspapers.

As of this date, the Chicago Sun Times has published 8 of my posts on their site.

Reuters has published 4, and Computer Shopper has published 1.

I have posted a link in my sidebar that takes you to a page that lists the sites and articles.

I am quite excited and pleased to have been included on these publisher's sites.

Hopefully it brings increased exposure for my blog and website, and it's not too shabby for my portfolio credentials either.

Awards Celebration Continued

This post will be a continuation of yesterday's post. We have a couple more loaves of banana bread to get us through.

Debbie, over at the New England Lighthouse Blog, honored my blog with several awards. It was quite a wonderful surprise to see her sailing over with these awards!

I am a huge lighthouse fan and have been enjoying her posts for these last couple of months.

Her blog is filled with gorgeous photos and lots of information on the Lighthouses of New England, which is right up my alley as I am familiar with many of them.

She also covers the news and happenings of the many lighthouses around the rest of the US and Canada. A wealth of info and great links await her readers - enjoy a visit today!





I am passing on the Best Blogging Buddies award to, Aiyana, over at Water When Dry.

She blogs about gardening in the desert, and her posts contain beautiful photos of cactus and succulent plants.

I found her blog through our Green Thumb Sunday memes and have enjoyed it ever since!





The Be the Blog award goes to Serena, over at Searen Art and Design.

She is a gifted artist and her drawings and paintings never fail to astound me.

Her blog is worth a visit to view this wonderful artwork for yourself!






The Blogging that hits the Mark Award goes to Fruity, over at Fruit Species.

Fruity writes about many different fruits, and has introduced us to some really exotic kinds that don't appear edible at first glance.

This blog is full of information and photos of the fruits and seeds - I am always anxious for the next post to see what Fruity has to share with us!







The Smile Award goes to Lynda, over at Peripheral Vision - Inner Sights by Lynda Lehmann.

Lynda takes astounding nature photography and is a beautiful painter also!

Once you view her images and paintings, and feel the peacefulness they bring, you too will smile!

Awards Celebration with Banana Bread

My blog has had an exciting week as it has been honored with several awards from some fine fellow bloggers. I invite my readers to share in the celebration with a slice of freshly baked Banana Bread with mini chocolate chips.

The first award I received is from Bob, over at Blackholes and Astrostuff. He sent me the Amazing Blogger award, and I am most honored to receive it from such an outstanding blogger.

He posts amazing photos of the moon and the planets that he takes himself with his telescope that is quite an impressive size - in fact it has it's own little house!

With his unique sense of humor and his love for all things in the night sky, he writes his posts in easy language so we can all enjoy it too.

Many thanks to him for giving me this award!





It is now my turn to pass it on to another deserving blog. We are going to leave outer space and head under the sea to find the recipient.

If you have not visited Bobbie and Jerry over at, The Right Blue, then you are missing out on an extraordinary underwater adventure.

These two have been diving for decades all over the globe and they have such amazing photos.

They share their exciting experiences as well as the proper names for the sea life - their knowledge is vast!

It makes one yearn to explore the ocean depths and see for ourselves the underwater beauty that they photograph and share with us.

They are Amazing Bloggers and are so deserving of this award - stop in for a visit, they will soon become one of your favorites too!


I have received several more awards that I will list in another post - I think I need to make some more banana bread - we are running out!

I am honored to have received another award, and this one is from Anna, over at My Only Photo.


She has awarded me with the Rockin' Girl Blogger award, and I am much honored and pleased to have received it. I enjoy visiting her blog - she has great photos and I love to read her posts. She has a kind heart and her blog is one of my favorites! Thank you Anna!

I now have the pleasure of passing this award on to the blogs that I enjoy and feel deserve it too. This is the best part - passing along the good feeling of knowing somebody likes and enjoys your work!

One of the first members to welcome me at the Blog Catalog community was Mark, at Green Fingered Photographer. After checking out his blog and his website, I was honored that he wanted to exchange links with me. He has beautiful nature photography which is well worth taking a look at. I am pleased to give him the Rockin' Guy Blogger award - it is much deserved!


The next award for the Rockin' Girl Blogger goes to Tatiana, at Totally-Useless. Her blog is a collection of photos, stories, and videos that are not so useless after all. She really has a great blog filled with info of all kinds that I love to visit to see what she has found for the day. This award is well deserved for her!

Another blog that I enjoy is Vienne, at Eavesdrop Writer. She deserves this award for her creative way of observing and writing about people she encounters in her daily life. She has a great writing style, and you can really feel the emotions in her posts. Well deserved!

My last Rockin Girl Blogger goes to Annie, at Little Rock Daily Photo. She has some great photos and stories from around her hometown. A great site to visit and her comments are always appreciated! She also deserves this award!
