Summer at the Driving Range
After four winter storms this week, and another one coming tomorrow, we are in serious need of a reminder of summer.
I remember this day being a very hot July afternoon, and the boys wanted to stop at the driving range to drive some golf balls.
Always aware that a stray ball could come flying my way, I scooted to the end of the green to capture the neat arc of the stalls.
One thing I did notice though, all the people must be right handed, as none were facing me to drive the balls with their left hands.
Stumble It!
Digg It!
I love the driving range. It's a good place to take out your aggressions.
ReplyDeleteIf you are going to visit that place in regular basis, it could be interesting to experiment on taking photograph from one player with very long shutter speed and see how big portion of swing you can get into one photograph and still figure out, whats happening in the image.
ReplyDeleteI don't have any idea about how it would turn out, because the idea just came to my mind.
Amen, thanks Kathy for the reminder of warmer times to come, great shot, -45c here right now, ouch!
ReplyDeleteLovely shot with all the golfers. I'm surprised at how orderly the place looks compared to the driving ranges in SA.
ReplyDeleteHi Juha - Being there in the early morning or late evening would be ideal for that type of shot. Will have to keep it in mind for next season!
ReplyDeleteAll of those right-handers just adds a note of orderliness. That grass sure is pretty.
ReplyDeleteKathy, wow, look at that curve, this is really cool composition. Anna :)
