Nest in a Grill - My World
Walking through a field, we came upon this truck that had obviously been parked for quite a while.
This little nest didn't have an occupant, but the little bird that built it certainly listened to a different drummer.
Instead of the traditional tree or bush, she chose the front grill of a large work truck.
She didn't have to worry about something sneaking up from behind her - or the sides either.
Hope she was successful with her little family!
I've seen nests in some interesting places but this one is a first for me. Where there's a will there's a way :)
ReplyDeleteVery funny place for a nest :-)

Oh, I get it! For some reason, my brain was reading the subject as *grill in a nest*, so I was looking for a nest in a barn with a grill in it. I know...what planet am I from :) But I see it now...how observant of you :)
ReplyDeleteKathy what a cool capture.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right, Denise! Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteHi Anya - I thought it was quite interesting too
ReplyDeleteHi Alterity - I so needed that chuckle - all I could think of: my what a big nest that must be. The title is a bit misleading now that I think of it!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Bob!
ReplyDeleteSmart little bird with good survival strategies. I too, hope it worked out for her. Lovely post, Kathy, that makes me think about what it must be like to be seeking a place to build a nest, out there in the natural world....
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a good place to nest as long as the truck doesn't move. I'd bet the bird didn't have to worry about many other animals.
