H is for Hands............
Spooky dry ice in a bucket.
We watched it "evaporate" this past summer, and my son put his hands in the "fog" it creates as it "thaws".
This stuff is really strange - you can touch the fog, but if you were to touch the actual piece of ice, it would burn the skin.
We added a bit of water to the bucket, and once the fog cleared, you could see it bubbling as it dissolved.
It took almost a whole day for it to melt - and there was nothing left in the bucket once it did.
This is the sixth round of ABC Wednesday. If you would like to join in please visit this site for the details.
Amazing stuff! It does give a really good "spooky" look to your shot.
ReplyDeleteDry ice is wonderful stuff, isn't it? Where did you get it? Makes a great shot!
ReplyDeleteOn behalf of the team, thanks for taking part in ABC Wednesday this week! :)

ReplyDeleteGreat atmospheric shot. Dry ice really is strange stuff.
ReplyDeleteWhen I got married, the reception was outside in August. I had individual servings of ice cream and we used dry ice to keep it well chilled.
ReplyDeleteIt is a fascinating event to watch, isn't it? I saw a fountain one time with dry ice in it - amazing. Excellent photo.
ReplyDeleteSpooky, like for...HALLOWEEN!
ReplyDeleteLovely and mysterious image
ReplyDeleteI thought of doing "hands" too, but I chose "hearts" for abc-Wednesday as well as for Alphabe-Thursday. Both had the letter "H" this week.
Best wishes,
Anna
