R is for Rusty Car .......
An old car from days gone by sits rusting in a salvage yard.
Destroyed by fire, there are no tires or interior.
There is also no roof - which makes me think it must have been a convertible.
Not sure there are too many good parts left on this one except the heavy metal frame and exterior panels.
It must have found a home somewhere - it was gone the next time I went back.
Stumble It!

Fantastic picture. I love taking photos of old wrecks, ruins, falling down buildings, generally anything old and tatty.
ReplyDeleteThis is a funny but yet great "R" post. RUSTY never came to my mind. Good one!
ReplyDeleteCan't even tell what kind it is but it sure made a nice picture!
ReplyDeleteHow did you manage to photograph my car, Rust to me is always photogenic
ReplyDeleteAnother good picture. Maybe they were going to restore it 8)
ReplyDeleteI didn't consider rust! what a hoot!
ReplyDeleteI love the colour in this picture.
ReplyDeleteWhen I see these junkie cars, I always wonder what they looked like when they were shiny & new and what adventures they have been through. Yes, I sometimes feel sorry for these cars although all good things come to and end.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot Kathy, have a great Thanksgiving today :)
ReplyDeleteI've just seen Sue's rusty door and was enthusing about the beauty of rust. These objects hold such history, it's so sad to see them outlive their life. Great subject!
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteGlad I found your blog. I love the concept ABC Wednesday. Can anyone join?
Nice visiting,
Sharon.
And of course I thought, as I read your post, "gone but not forgotten".
ReplyDeleteNeat idea for R, when ever I see an old car I wonder who use to own it, someone was a proud owner of this car at one time.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot, KML! Well composed and lots of character!
ReplyDeleteI too, love old cars and trucks abandoned and sunk in fields of overgrowth, and old houses, etc. So many stories to tell...
Thanks for all your visits and posts - I will visiting and posting to your ABC shortly!!
ReplyDeleteThat's a nice rusty car. I'm thinking of my pink Cadillac, the super-sharped rocket lights on the back type :)
ReplyDeleteCool car.

I like rusty stuff on photographs, it has so much character. Very nice Kathy, as always, Anna :)
ReplyDeleteThink of it this way: Underneath that rust is quite a bit of valuable scrap metal. (Kinda like 'glass half full'.)
ReplyDeleteIts A 64 Chev Impala
