L is for Link............
An old loop and link just sticking right out of a rock beside the ocean.
Rugged and rusty, it has been there a long time.
A small length of ratty old rope - perhaps a foot long, was tied to the loose link.
I really don' t understand how they pound those metal loops into those hard rocks - and they stay in there.
Not sure it it is used anymore for anything, but it can sure trip up an unwary walker - glad we all kept our eyes open that day.
This is the seventh round of ABC Wednesday. If you would like to join in please visit this site for the details.
A link that has linked a ship with the shore. A bit rusty, but still sturdy. Neat and simple.
ReplyDeleteGlad you linked to your link!

ReplyDeletea unique L post for today's abc wednesday!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you didn't trip either.
Thought-provoking photo and description. I don't understand them either! And yet, I never really questioned them. Great post!
ReplyDeleteGreat shot!! I took a similar picture the other day, because I find those rusty old iron fittings quite photogenic. But I have no idea how they fix them into the rock, either!
