W is for Watching............
The gulls are just standing - some on one leg, and others on two.
All facing the same direction.
Not quite sure what they are watching or waiting for, but the incoming waves seemed to keep their attention.
Of course, they always had one eye on me.
When I got too close, they would slowly walk away then take up their stance again.
This is the sixth round of ABC Wednesday. If you would like to join in please visit this site for the details.
Great post for the W day! I've seen the gulls down at the harbor near my house doing the same thing! I hope they finally see what they're looking for/watching!! Enjoy the rest of your week!

I've always noticed how slowly the gulls move away when I've approached them, too. Never seem to be in a hurry.
ReplyDeletealways difficult not to affect the subject matter when it's alive.

Not only are you a great photographer but also a fine poet!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip you left on my blog.:)
Interesting. Makes one wonder.
ReplyDeleteWatching gulls is one of my favorite ways to pass the time when on vacation on the beach. There is something very calming about listening to them. I laughed when looking at all of these standing at attention seemingly waiting for their "marching orders."

ReplyDeleteI see the same thing around here. Never quite sure what they're looking at or for, I know it's not me. Although it is fun to watch them take wing. If I'm quick I can capture that moment on disk (I so miss film).
ReplyDeleteLove the dialogue - we have gulls here and i always imagine we see the same ones travelling the world commenting on us!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your fantastic contributions.

'Watching' is a good W-word! I have also done a post about an animal.
