S is for Swimming............
Today is May 26 at 10:30 in the morning.
And it is already 84 degrees here in New England, and it is predicted to be in the mid 90's by lunchtime.
This type of weather doesn't come our way until July and August.
Just looking at that cool inviting water in the photo makes me want to run down to the lake right now and take a dip.
There is only one problem with that idea though.
The lake gets drained each fall and it doesn't get brought back up to level again until mid June.
Will have to just look at that water and "think cool"!
This is the sixth round of ABC Wednesday. If you would like to join in please visit this site for the details.
Wow, that is really warm. I live is southern California and even we don't have that kind of heat yet!
ReplyDeleteWe have just the opposite weather. It hasn't been hot like normal and the pool isn't warming up. I stuck my toe in yesterday....and it was cold...well cold for me...
ReplyDeleteKathy, I would have been the happiest Gal to have jumped into that delicious water today...and now tonight...it's after 10 in Providence, and we're all sleeping downstairs, because the BR's are too brutally hot...haven't put the AC's in yet...but that will all change by the weekend...stay cool!!!
ReplyDeleteIt does look fresh and cooling!
ReplyDeleteLove the ripples in the water around the boy. The blue color is lovely. We're having crazy May weather as well. Ninety degrees in May is just not right!
ReplyDeleteOh, well that stinks!
ReplyDelete"Swimming" is a wonderfulS-word! Here in the north, we have only had three warm days, that still were not warm enough to do any swimming. We are getting wet with rain instead!
ReplyDeleteTrue to my blogs main theme, I chose Silver for my S-word. Take a peek, when you get the time.
Best wishes,
Anna
