Overlooking the Park

Overlooking the Park

cement dock on the rocks at the ocean

This is another post relating to the park with the cement dock.

That dock is just off to the left of this image - jutting out from the rocks.

You can see the Whaleback Lighthouse on the horizon.

This is just a small piece of the park. There is a lot more grass off to the right, and in the center of the park there is a playground area for the kids.

I can remember as a kid growing up, my brother and myself would bicycle the six miles here just about every night in the summer. We loved it here once everyone had left for the day.

My family and I get to the ocean a couple times a year these days, and we usually stop in at the park on one of those times.

The park itself has changed over the years, but the beautiful views and the memories will always remain.

  1. Kathy I always enjoyed your park photo, the blue sky, blue water and green grass, and the stone part makes is so alive looking. I can see how much good memories you could have, excellent photo as always. Take care and have a good weekend. Anna :)

  2. Again I love your green shots Kathy, and an Ocean and lighthouse to boot, beautiful!! still too white for my liking here, wishing I was there, lol.

  3. Gosh, what a beautiful park area. How I would just love to sit at that table and just gaze out over the sea... absolutely gorgeous!!

  4. Thank, Anna - hope you have a good weekend too!

  5. Hi Bob - we still have a lot of white around too. Can't wait for the green either!

  6. Thanks, Michele - definitely one of our favorite places - especially when we have it all to ourselves!
