ABC Wednesday - Y is for Yankee

Y is for Yankee...........

american flag against a blue sky

The word "Yankee" is defined as: an inhabitant of the USA especially of New England.

One of the thirteen original colonies, my state was the one the rest depended on to sign the constitution papers that made the US a country.

Since New Hampshire is one of the six states that make up New England, that makes me a Yankee for sure.

Happy 236th Birthday, America.

This is the eighth round of ABC Wednesday. If you would like to join in please visit this site for the details.

  2. Perfect contribution to Y-day. Some of my ancestors were New Englanders who became Yankee immigrants to Michigan.
Great angle on the flag in your photo!
