Swamp Bridge for Green Thumb Sunday
Green Thumb Sunday Blogroll
How to join Green Thumb Sunday
Last week I posted an image about a hike through a swamp.
The image above shows the boards surrounded by swamp water.
The wood bridge was the last stable piece of the walkway.
The boards went for about a mile through the swamp until they just came to a stop.
Forced to retrace our steps, we walked the unsteady boards back to the little bridge.
So lush and green, the swamp was a peaceful yet unnerving way to spend the afternoon.

ReplyDeleteHi kathy,
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great place, did you have to watch out for aligators or was the biggest pest mosquitoes.
Cheers Mark
Lovely photographs.
ReplyDeleteI bet it was fascinating crossing the swamp bridge.
Thanks, Bob!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jenty!
ReplyDeleteHI Mark - no alligators - too cold up this way for them. Surprising, the mosquitoes even left us alone - we had sprayed ourselves before going in - and it worked!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Crafty - it was a peaceful afternoon!
ReplyDeleteI love going hiking... however, I have such bad balance, I don't think I'd enjoy your swamp hike! Although it made for some gorgeous photos! Happy GTS!
ReplyDeleteIt looks so peaceful and GREEN! I love to hike in out-of-the-way stretches of woods and swamps, but preferably not in mosquito season!
