Happy New Year


Happy New Year!

I would like to dedicate this post to all my readers.

When I first started my website in April 2007, I added a blog feature with the intention of using it as a tool for posting photo tips, technology, and techniques.

It wasn't until the summer that I had some time to really explore blogland - and I was pleasantly surprised about what I found.

There are some really terrific people out there with some great blogs - and I became hooked.

I have learned so much from many of your interesting posts and have virtually visited all corners of the earth, the space above it, and the depths within it.

The images you post and the stories behind them are always a joy to read.

I am honored to have each of you as my friends in blogland and thank you for enriching me with pieces of what you love and enjoy in this life - I can share in it through your posts.

I wish you all nothing but the best for the New Year.

    Hi Bob, This one was actually taken with my point and shoot camera - the Sony Mavica CD500. It has a Carl Zeiss lens which is a very high quality optic for color, sharpness, clarity and focus. I wish sometimes I had one for my DSLR - way too expensive though!

    What a great New Year post, Kathy. I think what you describe reflects a similar experience for quite a few of us who began our blogs for one reason or another, and then discovered the very enjoyable and rewarding community aspects of blogging -- the hook that sustains us.     I feel the same way, Kathy! Interacting in the blogosphere adds a lot of dimension to my life, by sharing my interests and the interests of my blogging friends. This is a refreshing change in a world where communication skills sometimes seem to be withering...

    (I'm late in reading posts because I was away for over a week. The rose shot is a delicate beauty!)
