O is for Opened Drawer.......



an opened drawer of an antique jewelry box



The drawer of an antique jewelry box is opened - beaconing one to explore the treasures inside.

This handmade piece is constructed of rock maple with little brass drawer pulls.

It was a gift given to my mother from my father before they were married.

I remember it always standing atop her hope chest during my childhood.

    I love the colour of the wood. Great photo. My grandparents used to have a similar piece of furniture. I used to love having a mooch through it. It was a bit of an Aladdin's cave.
