N is for Napping Kitty.......
This feral cat adopted us about 5 years ago, shortly after our cat had passed away.
He appears at the front door each morning for some breakfast, and makes another round about supper time for a handout.
He is very wary of anyone but us, and I was fortunate enough to catch him one evening as he was napping.
Stumble It!

Nice picture. Happy WW.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Pips!
ReplyDeleteCats have an easy life. It's a lovely photo and I like the reflective surface.
ReplyDeleteThats a brilliant angle.
ReplyDeleteN is for Neat! and Nice!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mike!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kate and Jos!
ReplyDeleteI like the reflection and the light!Nice shot
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jean!
ReplyDeleteA free and yet dependant spirit :o) Lovely photo.
ReplyDeleteThats one relaxed feline....;-)
ReplyDeleteRuth,
ReplyDeleteI like to catch a glimpse of him during the day, making his rounds. He is pretty alert and clever!
Rick - He is waiting for his evening handout - the theory of getting more with honey than vinegar applies here!
ReplyDeleteHe's like, "what the heck are you doing? Can't you see I'm trying to concentrate here?"
ReplyDeleteNice shot

p.s. adding you to my ABC list.
He had work hard for the day, so need a good rest to catch some mice tomorrow :)
ReplyDeleteFruity
Looks like the cat is having a good time :)
ReplyDeleteNice shot!
Ha ha Fruity! He does catch some - and he likes to share. Have to make sure to thank him through gritted teeth as I pick up his "offerings".
ReplyDeleteThanks, Thomas - sleeping is definitely a good time!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty kitty! Now why didn't I think of this when I posted a cat picture a couple days ago!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Dot! It took a bit to come up with the "napping" for the "N" - kitty just wasn't going to do it.
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy -
ReplyDeleteHaving seen several of your photos of this kitty, I had no idea he was feral. He always looks so pet-like in your photos of him. Well done (both the photo and your role in looking out for him).
He's beautiful! Stunning shot.
ReplyDeleteHe's a very handsome cat Kathy. I've never had one yet often considered it but they are so independent. I used to have a neighbourhood cat visit me but he killed too many of my lovely wild birds so I had to discourage him. :( Lovely that he has adopted you though, I'm sure he's very fussy who he gives his affections to. :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like a lioness but very sweet, cracking photo
ReplyDeleteThat is a gorgeous shot! I think you captured his essence.
ReplyDeleteVery nice snooze he seems to be having!! Napping...such a nice thing to do every now and then...
ReplyDeleteThanks, Bobbie - he makes the rounds at some of our neighbors too.
ReplyDeleteWFW _ he is very fussy - he takes off in a flash if anyone else is around.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Peter and Daisy!
ReplyDeleteI agree, Neva!
ReplyDeleteAwwwwwww! What a pretty baby. I'm so glad he adopted you and you watch over him. The kitty angels must have sent him to you. Cindy at Rosehaven Cottage
ReplyDeleteLove this photo! Thanks for stopping by today!
ReplyDeleteGreat shot, looks very content.
ReplyDeleteThat was a lovely story. I guess that feral cat was meant to belong to you.
ReplyDeleteOh I love this one!
ReplyDeleteGreat stuff!

What a fantastic picture. I really mean it. He looks just like my cat Tomba... same characteristics. You have captured him well!!
ReplyDeleteThere is a feral cat gracing my home lately. He came around while my husband was ill, sitting and watching the house with such grace that it felt like a blessing. I fed the cat, of course, and now he comes around regularly, sitting and watching and blessing us inside.
ReplyDeleteI thank all my readers for your visits and your comments!
ReplyDeleteGreat N post. I like the snoozing kitty.
ReplyDeleteI said this to your hostas, but this photo is just amazing. Love the reflective ground, really adds to the photograph. Anna :)
ReplyDeleteCute cat, love cats, we used to have a stray that would come by, but our cat jumped up at the window one day and scared the crap out of her/him, haven't seen the cat since
ReplyDeleteThanks, Anna - he was sitting on the car roof which was shiny.
ReplyDeletehi Bob - they are pretty territorial - this one stayed away until ours passed away. There is another one starting to come around, but it keeps it distance - until we hear them arguing at night.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cat and photo!!! I took in a kitten that had been dumped in the woods and found by one of my daughter's college professors. He's been the most special cat ever with the affection he gives us. I promised him he'd never go hungry again. :D He was only 6 weeks old when we got him.
ReplyDeleteHugs, JJ
He is a beauty :-)
ReplyDeleteGotta love cats. We had a Siamese that moved in with us some years back. He was skin and bones at the time but soon filled out and was an absolute delight
ReplyDeleteNot a care in the world....gorgeous photo, Kathy! The reflection is a great touch.
