ABC Wednesday - S is for Solitary

 S is for Solitary............

a lone tree at the oceans edge

There it stood beside the ocean's edge.

A lone oak tree still dressed in it's autumn finery.

Look real closely at the water's edge along the right side of the image.

See that group of black birds?

They are sculptures - placed there by the park owners.

Straight and tall, this solitary tree has seen many seasons.

But not as many as some of the older, much thicker oaks that are further down the path.

This is the eighth round of ABC Wednesday. If you would like to join in please visit this site for the details.

  2. That is a great photo. I love solitary trees or animals or similar in an open space like that. It feels SPACIOUS and calming. I don't like a cluttered life any more.

  3. Nice photo, your words made me think of a dear friend with Alzheimer, she is solitary, inside herself 99% of the time. It's very sad. The tree is among many things but alone, just as my friend is among many people but sadly alone.

  4. That is a nice picture. Have you intentionally kept the pictures small in size? I usually have medium sized pictures on my blog.
Great pictures overall. Looking forward to see more.
