ABC Wednesday - P is for People

P is for People............

a teen boy fishing along the river

People photography is not something that I am very good at.

It takes me so long to get everything just so in the viewfinder, that my subjects loose patience with me very quickly.

And when they start getting agitated, it doesn't make for a very good photo.

So, other than family photos, I try to take unexpected people photos - from a distance, or just pieces of people.

Sometimes it's a hand holding something, or the side of the face.

Different, but it works for me, and of course, my poor impatient subjects!

This is the fifth round of ABC Wednesday. If you would like to join in please visit this site for the details.

  1. What a serene shot! I am not any better in taking photos of people. They said I make them look bad.

  2. Lovely shot for the P day. It is hard to get photos of people sometimes -- always works from a distance though!

    Enjoy!

  3. My favorite subjects are my nieces and nephews. I don't really try to stage them though. I just have my camera out at all times and snap shots of random moments. They kind of expect it of me now and consider it one of my many quirks.

  4. I'm really bad at taking photos of people. They always turn out lousy. Even worse than my non people pictures...lol I love the one you posted. I'll have to try something like that next time.

  5. I'm not that good at people photography, either. I try, but like you, I'm slow. And I'm much better at judging exposures for landscapes and animals. ;)

  6. Looks a peaceful person. Not everyone likes having their photo taken so unexpected ones are fun.
