ABC Wednesday - Vessel

V is for Vessel.............

lobster boats in a calm harbor

The day started out foggy and overcast, but by mid-morning it had cleared out to be gorgeous.

We took a walk to the end of the dock, and I used the 80-200mm zoom lens to snap this shot.

The dock was one of those floating, wiggly kinds, so I was glad to see the calm ocean water.

It was that nice calm period between the turning of the tides when the ocean becomes like glass in the harbor.

There was no breeze to stir the water's surface, and it was just beautiful - especially for taking pictures of these moored lobster boats.

  5. The ocean can have so many moods, but this one is a favourite. Our cabin floats on water and I love it when the water reflects the mountains and trees. If I'm lucky, I can see they stars mirrored back at me as well. I chose V is for vegetables from my floating garden. I invite you to come see. -- Margy

  12. Love this shot KML. I need to get down to the beach for a day, but it is soooo crowded now. Guess I will go down in October when the crowds are gone. Once again you inspire me to look for the things hidden in plain sight. ;-)
