The Log Cabin

The Log Cabin

a log cabin camp in the woods

It was a sight to behold - an old log cabin that dated back to the late 1800's.

It had been kept up nicely and used as a camp for many years.

The porch was sturdy and welcoming, the stone fireplace was just beautiful, and the setting in the woods couldn't be more perfect.

There was just one thing missing that I noticed as soon as I walked through the door.

Those many paned windows, that looked so charming from the outside, really needed some attention on the inside.

Since it was such an old building, I figured it would be difficult to find something that worked with the interior.

I found some window blinds online at Select Blinds that looked like they would do the job perfectly.

I found some Bamboo Shades that rolled up out of the way during the day.

Their natural color would fit with the interior, and we could still keep the comfortable, traditional feeling that this cabin offered.

Perhaps a calico valence along the top of the window, and the look would be complete!
