Pay Per Post
I have decided to sign up with pay per post blog ads after doing some reading about it on a couple of blogs I visit regularly.
I had originally created this blog to coincide with my photo website and keep it as only a tool for that website.
In the past year, I have met some great people through reading their blogs, and have joined several communities through them and it has changed the way I have built this blog for the better.
My goal is too keep the same tone and values in my blog without pushing anything onto my readers.
It will interesting to see how my style of photoblogging fits in with the PPP advertising. I am sure it will be challenging.
If any of my readers has had any experience with this service, I would be interested to hear how it has worked for you. Please let me know in the comments section.
I will post updates as I use the service. I am not sure what to expect as far as earnings from it - it will be a learning experience.

I've been with PPP since October. Like you, I had a blogspot blog with a PR 4, and opportunities (opps) were pretty good until Google killed my PR to a 0. That was crushing, to get a 0 on a blog I'd spent 2 years on, and that had tons of backlinks and was popular. PPP opps took a nosedive.
ReplyDeleteI've since started a few new blogs (most on my own domain). The PPP experience has made me wiser at blogging and marketing. And the forum is a great place, full of wonderful bloggers and loads of help! But be prepared to lose that nice PR.
I love PPP! I started in March and have made over $600 already. I recently signed up with PayU2Blog. They are a service something similar to PPP, and in two days have already made almost $100!
ReplyDeleteAs far as page rank goes, I've heard that some blogs that got spanked by Google for doing paid posting have started to gain page rank again.

ReplyDeleteAfter taking about two and a half years off blogging, I started blogging in earnest back in February with my (completely unbeknownst to me) PR2 Roxiticus Desperate Housewives blog that had no readers whatsoever. My renewed interest in blogging coincided with starting paid posts for PPP and a couple of others. Literally days after my first paid post, Google spanked me down to a big fat zero and all the nice $$ dried up. When they updated PR on April 30th, I expected my blog, which now has about 200 hits/day and fresh content daily, to get some PR. No dice. So I've kept up the PPP and added SocialSpark (another IZEA service) as well. On SocialSpark, I noticed that your blog is claimed, but not yet verified by Customer Love. You might want to keep checking back on your blogger profile and hitting "verify blog" -- it took me a couple times "hitting the button" to get my primary blog verified and to get answers back from Customer Love on why my other blogs were not yet verified.
I read Mrs. Mecomber's comment but didn't see what your blog's PR is, but if you have a nice PR, get the most out of it now, you may only have 3 months before Google updates again.
