Green Thumb Sunday - Swamp Bridge

Swamp Bridge for Green Thumb Sunday

Last week I posted an image about a hike through a swamp.

The image above shows the boards surrounded by swamp water.

The wood bridge was the last stable piece of the walkway.

The boards went for about a mile through the swamp until they just came to a stop.

Forced to retrace our steps, we walked the unsteady boards back to the little bridge.

So lush and green, the swamp was a peaceful yet unnerving way to spend the afternoon.

  2. Hi kathy,
Sounds like a great place, did you have to watch out for aligators or was the biggest pest mosquitoes.

    Cheers Mark

  4. HI Mark - no alligators - too cold up this way for them. Surprising, the mosquitoes even left us alone - we had sprayed ourselves before going in - and it worked!

  6. I love going hiking... however, I have such bad balance, I don't think I'd enjoy your swamp hike! Although it made for some gorgeous photos! Happy GTS!

  7. It looks so peaceful and GREEN! I love to hike in out-of-the-way stretches of woods and swamps, but preferably not in mosquito season!
